The second reason is branding. Headcovers often show the brand name of the club. They are easy to see because they are usually on longer clubs like the driver and 3-wood. When other golfers look at your bag, they notice what brand you use. This is a good way for brands to advertise. Pro golfers even get paid to use certain brands.
